| Heartwarming news of Amber's continued recovery |
|
World Champion & Olympic rower Amber Halliday's gradual recovery from a cycling accident in January has been chronicled in the feature piece of this week's "Contact Sport" program on the ABC. The link to the program is available at the bottom of this article. Amber was an outstanding member of Adelaide University Boat Club who became a national champion in both rowing and cycling, alongside a career in journalism. Amber will be the guest of honour and guest speaker at this year's Adelaide Univeristy Sports Association Blues Ceremony to be held at the National Wine Centre on Thurday 24 November from 7pm. Should you wish to attend to support athletes and administrators at Adelaide Univeristy who have excelled please read on. Tickets to the dinner, which includes a three course dinner and drinks, are $50 ($40 for AU students). They have been subsidised to ensure the revitalised concept receives good support in its first year.
